Hi guys, I’m Juli… I am a writer, editor, blogger (for real now!), Jesus-lover, small business owner and fellow crazy.
Yeah, I said it. You are, too. You can go ahead and pick your percentage, but just admit it, it’s okay. (Writers rank higher on this scale, by the way.) Listen, crazy is NOT a bad word. The dictionary says so. Here is a paraphrased definition from the Merriam-webster version: ‘Crazy’ — Full of cracks or flaws. Impractical. Erratic. Unusual. Distracted with desire or excitement. Absurdly fond; passionately preoccupied.
Sound familiar? There is a very loud silence among us. We don’t like to talk about our crazy: our problems, our fears, our weaknesses, our insecurities, our lonely, but it’s there. And we shouldn’t have to be ashamed of it. I am going to talk about it…this stuff that makes us think we’re not good enough, not strong enough, not perfect enough. I loudly proclaim that, “I am a work in progress!” I am working on building a stronger faith, a feeling of contentment, a will to accept and love those around me, including me, myself and I…the three who need this acceptance the most.
Can we connect on something we all share? Being perfectly imperfect.
